This Sunday, immediately after service, a few members of our church went to Wingstop for dinner. As always, we had great fellowship and great conversation. In total, we visited at the restaurant for over two hours. That morning at church, I taught about the Languages of God, pinpointing ten specific ways God speaks to the saved and unsaved.

After dinner, our group got up to leave, embracing at the exit and going about our way. After arriving home, I received a voice memo from Josiah and Hannah Foley. They shared that God had highlighted a man sitting by the cash register, waiting for his to-go order to both of them that night. Hannah heard the Lord say the words “anxiety and depression” during the night. As they were leaving, she heard the Lord say, “Go back. Go back.” After initially trying to reason away the message as her thoughts, she shared that she remembered our earlier teaching on the different languages of God and realized that God was speaking to her through her thoughts. She paused and felt the peace and love of God fill her and compel her to go speak to this man. And before she did, she shared what she heard God say with Josiah, her brother, to which he shared that he heard the exact same thing. So, they went back into Wingstop to speak to him, sharing that the Lord led them to go back to him. Shocked, the man shared that we, too, were highlighted to him, and he had just prayed to God, as we were all leaving, that if He was real, to please cause our group to come back inside. He then shared that he was drawn to us because he was watching our group visit and saw how much we looked like a family, saying to God, “I wish I had that too. If You’re real, please bring them back to me.”

The encounter left the man in complete awe as the Lord filled both Hannah’s and Josiah’s mouths with more words of knowledge, prophecy, and encouragement. Hannah transparently shared her testimony of her own journey to our group (God Manifest) and how God used our church and church family to lead her to breakthrough and freedom. Also, she prophesied to the man that if the man was willing that night, God could do the same for him. Before praying, Hannah inquired if there was anything else he was struggling with, and he said, “Loneliness.” Then the siblings asked the man if they could pray for him and if he knew who Jesus was, and the man shared he knew of Him and had just started praying to Him recently. Hannah assured Him that Jesus loves him and hears his prayers. After prayer, the man was so overwhelmed by God’s lovingkindness that he received his salvation, repented of his sin, and received the Holy Spirit. Overwhelmed, before leaving, the man shared with them that he felt a literal weight lift off of him during prayer.

Glory to God! Jesus Christ saves!
