This Sunday, after service at God Manifest, our church began to minister to one another, praying for healing and over circumstances. While speaking to one of our newest members, she asked me if she needed to be baptized in water to be baptized in the Holy Spirit. I explained that both can happen together but each can happen individually. She shared that she wanted the baptism of the Holy Spirit. I asked Connor to share with her about the Holy Spirit and how to receive Him as a free gift from Jesus to every believer.

As Connor ministered, Josiah, David, and Jordan noticed the special moment and leaned in. As Josiah and David joined Connor as he ministered, Jordan also asked to receive the baptism of the Holy Spirit. The three young men started to lay hands and pray for the young woman and Jordan, and within a few short minutes, they both began to shake under the sudden increased presence of the Spirit of God, and they began to erupt in fiery tongues.

While God was clearly touching the two, I noticed another young woman intently and curiously watching as her friend and Jordan received their baptism Holy Spirit. I approached and asked her if she was filled with the Holy Spirit. She sweetly asked me who the Holy Spirit was and how she was supposed to receive Him. Feeling that this was a special and holy moment, I explained the Holy Spirit and asked her to join the group. She agreed. Within a few minutes, she too began to shake under the weighty presence of the Spirit and began to pray in fiery tongues as well!

Wow, wow, wow!! What a beautiful moment to behold as the presence and love of God invaded these three young individuals. Also, just as special, Olivia and I were so proud of our young friends, as they so clearly, patiently, and lovingly ministered to the three, allowing the Holy Spirit to be the Holy Spirit and allowing the three to receive Him uniquely and individually.
